SwatchOn, a wholesale fabric supply platform servicing the fashion industry, wanted to increase brand awareness with fashion designers worldwide. After developing a clear brand strategy, we coordinated a global design contest, aligned with various cultural influencers, and produced content across press and socials.

585 contestants from 26 countries. 10 finalists selected. Each got $1,000 worth of fabric from SwatchOn to design one look: No limits, just creativity.
We remotely interviewed each of the selected designers during the global pandemic lockdown, and then documented their story and creative processes, from sketching to patternmaking. The Result: Tons of content across socials, ads, and each designer’s own channels, for fans to engage with.
We produced a virtual runway of sorts…which was a totally new concept in 2020. The designers’ final looks were digitized using CLO3D, making for true-to-life garment simulation. IRL to URL…as each real garment had its own “digital twin.”
WALK THE DIGITAL RUNWAY
Each designer selected an influencer of their choice to style and shoot themselves in their look. Total creative freedom. Vibrant talent across the globe, from Kazakhstanian artist Aya Shalkar, to drag queen Envy Peru.
The Future of Fabric website we designed was all about the designers: 10 talents from 9 different countries – Estonia, India, UK, Canada, Austria, Holland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Peru. We designed a site that felt futuristic; a bit like you’re in space; a little like traveling the globe.
